Vision P400 can be used as an OLE automation server. The ActiveX Control "VisionP400DataControl" is registered automatically during installation of Vision P400. FP Data Analyzer works as an OLE client and can be linked with Vision P400 by a single mouse click.
Linked to the Vision P400, the FP Data Analyzer serves as a software data logging system for statistics and QA.
Set up Vision P400 for OLE data transfer
Declare all objects which should be transferred to the FP Data Analyzer
For a detailed description, please refer to the Vision P400 online help.
Select [Data Formatting] and activate the checkbox "Data Container Index"
Default: this checkbox is deactivated.
Start FP Data Analyzer
Select to connect to P400
Vision P400 starts automatically if it is not already running. In either case, all data objects declared in step 1 are copied to the FP Data Analyzer description area.
The description area shows the channel name and channel data type. The status bar shows this document in P400 format.
Change Vision P400 from setup mode to RUN mode
Press <F5> to start the inspection
After each inspection, data samples are sent to the analyzer.
Recording can be stopped and saved at any time. Activate the FP Data Analyzer's autosave function if desired.
Automatic synchronization of objects for data transfer
The channel list in the description area of the FP Data Analyzer must always match with the Vision P400 settings in the OLE interface property page “Objects For Data Transfer”.
FP Data Analyzer requests a new OLE object list from Vision P400 if:
Vision P400 switches from setup mode to RUN mode, or
FP Data Analyzer connects to Vision P400.
If the number of objects, name or type of objects do not match, the FP Data Analyzer allows the user to save the recorded samples and request a new OLE object list from Vision P400.
