How firmware updates are handled

During the upload, users are prompted to include the source panel’s firmware in the project file. During the download, they are prompted to download the firmware to the target panel.

NOTE

There are a few panel models that do not support the firmware upload from the source panel. For these panels, the firmware files must be available in the FPGT Loader application folder.

Updating firmware on models that support firmware upload

This applies to the following models:

During the upload, users are prompted to include the firmware data in the *.gtp project file.

During the download, users are prompted to download the firmware if a different version is detected on the target panel.

For GT7xx: If the required firmware file is available in the target system’s application folder, the firmware data does not need to be included in the project.

Some firmware files are pre-installed in the FPGT Loader application folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Panasonic-ID SUNX Control\FPGT Loader 2\Firmware or C:\Program Files (x86)\Panasonic Industry Control\FPGT Loader 2\Firmware). Other firmware files from the GTWIN_V3 application folder or from the Panasonic-Website can be added to this folder.
