FP OPC Server version 2.1.4.0 has the following new features:
Fixed bug where closing panes (e.g. “Server Status Pane”, “Navigator Pane”, ...) would cause crashes and unexpected behavior (e.g. server cannot be stopped).
When writing string data:
Corrected bug in writing string characters.
Implemented check of Unicode characters with values greater than 0xff
When reading/writing string data:
Implemented explicit conversion of Unicode characters using only the lower byte like in Control FPWIN Pro7
The issue where CSV files could not be imported has been fixed.
For communication with the PLC, MEWTOCOL7 is no longer generated for PLC types that do not support this communication protocol.
Ethernet communication settings of the MEWTOCOL compatibility namespace were cleared by mistake. This has been fixed.
In some cases, tags could not be added because valid addresses were recognized as invalid. This has been fixed.
Now link relays like L123 are handled correctly.
The communication parameters of the channel are correctly loaded from the project file
Changing the network type in the “Communication settings” dialog (e.g. from C-NET (RS232,USB) to Ethernet) back to a previously configured network type displays the previously used setting.
Uses the PxMewnet manager for communication with the PLC instead of the NAiS Mewnet manager. To keep the communication settings for the MEWTOCOL OPC Server compatibility namespace please refer to the troubleshooting section.
Added MEWTOCOL7 to support FP7 addresses
MEWTOCOL OPC Server compatibility namespace supports identifier "u" to monitor addresses in unsigned format, e.g. "COM4.<uDT0"
Some small issues in the software were fixed
Elements accessed by a client application are marked in the navigator view.
Tag groups having a time stamp address assigned show a clock icon in the navigator view.
After a tag group has been imported, the corresponding properties can be changed now.
USB driver for FP0R now compatible with Windows 8 64bit
The time stamp of OPC tags can now be specified by a DATE_AND_TIME variable in the PLC. Please find example projects for the FP OPC Server and FPWIN Pro in your software installation directory.
"PLC Simulation" is now available in the channel element’s communication settings.
The "MEWTOCOL OPC Server Compatibility Namespace" now allows COM port numbers from 1 to 99, e.g. COM33N1<DT0
Dragging tags from the tag view to the navigator is now handled correctly.
Import from FPWIN Pro
The data types “Unsigned 16-bit”, “Unsigned 32-bit”, “Date And Time”, “Date” and “Time Of Day” have been implemented.
The following data types have been renamed:
Integer => Signed 16-bit
DInteger => Signed 32-bit
Word => Word 16-bit
DWord => Word 32-bit
Real => Float 32-bit
BCD => BCD 16-bit
LBCD => BCD 32-bit
The enable check box of a tag in the tag view works correctly now.
A bug that did not change the tag values of multiple selected tags in the tag view has been fixed.
Software protection
FP OPC Server 2 and FP OPC Server 1 can run simultaneously on your computer.
Import from FPWIN Pro
Unicode variable files (*.csv) generated by FPWIN Pro 6 can now be imported.
Online
Improved reading of string values so that string data is now read consistently from the PLC
Software protection
Software protection has been removed. Now the FP OPC Server does not need to be activated after installation.
