Use this page if you want to update the PLC clock via the FP-I4C unit.
When the update flag turns to TRUE the FP-I4C unit writes the current date and time into the specified PLC clock register.
You can also set a regular time interval to update the time and date. This function can be used instead of or in combination with the control flag.
Automatic update: Set a regular interval in minutes to update the time and date in the PLC. The setting range is from 1min to 10080min (1 week).
This automatic update function can be used alone or in combination with a PLC-triggered update.
If Automatic update is enabled, the time and date are also updated each time the FP-I4C unit is started.
A warning message is output if the NTP is disabled in the System Settings.
PLC-triggered update: Use this toggle switch to update the PLC time and date every time the update flag turns to TRUE in the control device (PLC).
Use UTC time: Use this toggle switch to set the UTC time even when the FP-I4C unit uses local time.
PLC clock register: Specify the data register used in the PLC to store the time and date.
For FP0R, FP-X, FPΣ, FP2, FP2SH and FP0H, the default start address for the PLC clock is DT90054.
For FP7, set 50 and select MEWTOCOL7 for the interface set with .
Last PLC clock register: This address is calculated based on the specified PLC clock register.
Update flag (control flag): Set the control flag used to update the time and date in the PLC. When this flag changes from FALSE to TRUE, the FP-I4C unit will update the time and date. When the operation is finished, the flag is reset to FALSE. If an error occurs, the error flag will turn to TRUE.
Error flag (status flag): This is the address of the NTP error flag.
Polling time: Set the interval in seconds to poll the update flag.
When you have changed any settings, a Save button appears in the upper right corner of the screen. You can make changes on multiple pages and then save your settings.
