New project from PLC

Use Project > New > From PLC... or select New project from PLC... from the start page to upload a project stored in a PLC (e.g. using Save as > Project on PLC...) to Control FPWIN Pro7.

With this command, an empty project is created and an attempt is made to establish a connection to the PLC. If this is successful, the program code and project information will be uploaded, if present. Project information includes the contents of all editors, the PLC configuration, the compiler options and the content of the user libraries. If user libraries are present, they will also appear in the project folder.

NOTE

You can only open projects in PLCs equipped with a comment memory. With other PLCs, the program code instead of the project information will be uploaded to your PC. The program code will then be converted to a ladder diagram (compare with the import of FPWIN GR files).

  1. Project > New > From PLC... or select this function from the start page.
  2. Ensure the communication parameters are correct to connect to the PLC

If you receive a message that the program code and the code in the PLC are different, confirm with OK. This error message appears when the project in the PLC was compiled incrementally.
