A compiled program can be stored on a memory media as FP hex file, Motorola hex file or Intel hex file. Using a universal EPROM programmer you can load files in Motorola or Intel HEX format into an EPROM plugged into the PLC as program memory.
All PLC types, except the FP10/FP10S, can use Panasonic PLC type EPROMs for storing a program.
If you plug an EPROM into the PLC, please note that the write protect switch of the PLC is in the Access enabled position (see hardware description) and that the EPROM slot is not write-protected during loading.
