Insert/remove breakpoint

With Control FPWIN Pro7 you can set several breakpoints in your program and then process the program from one breakpoint to another. The PLC must be in TEST mode.

NOTE

Specify the colors for set and active breakpoints using Extras > Options > Program options > Fonts and colors.
The POUs entered in the task are loaded automatically and processed from breakpoint to breakpoint.

In the procedure, we assume that you have already downloaded your project into the PLC.

Inserting a breakpoint and testing the program

Change to PROG mode
Debug > Enable breakpoints
Select line in IL/ST or network in LD/FBD
Debug > Insert/remove breakpoint
The line at which the breakpoint was set is highlighted in the default breakpoint color.
Repeat the last two steps until all of the breakpoints are set
Online > Change PLC mode
Debug > Continue
This enables you to process the program from one breakpoint to another.

Removing a breakpoint

Change to PROG mode
Select breakpoint
Debug > Insert/remove breakpoint
The line is no longer highlighted.

Use Debug > Inserted breakpoints... to view the breakpoints set in the current project, insert or erase breakpoints.

Normally in TEST mode the outputs are disabled i.e. no results are sent to the outputs. Select Debug > Enable outputs to send the results to the outputs also in TEST mode.
