Data recording is used to record the values of variables together with time stamp information.
Select from the project navigator to open the Data recording window.

Difference between logging and trace:
The logging function saves the recorded data in CSV format on an SD card inserted in the CPU (not for FP7 CPS21 because it does not have an SD card slot). FP-XH saves the recorded data in the buffer memory of the CPU.
The trace function saves the recorded data in the buffer memory of the CPU. The data can be uploaded from the buffer memory to the tool software after the trace operation and can be displayed as a time chart. Traced data can also be saved on an SD card in CSV format (not for FP7 CPS21 because it does not have an SD card slot ).
