With Assign first free address you can select the address area for storing the variable declaration:
- Flag area WR
- Data register area DT
- File register area FL
- Link flag area WL
- Link register area LD
- Input area WX
- Output area WY
Address areas not available for the selected data type are greyed (e.g. DT is not possible for BOOL or ARRAY OF BOOL). No address area may be assigned to mixed DUTs.
NOTE
Using Assign first free address on an existing variable declaration will change the adress if a smaller offset is available.
Example
The variable dintArray is currently assigned to DDT100.
After selecting Data register area DT when using Assign first free address dintArray will be assigned to DDT33.
