Templates pane

The Templates pane contains several templates to facilitate programming in the LD editor and in the ST editor.

In the IL editor, templates are automatically generated when inserting an instruction from the Instructions pane or a function block instance from the Variables pane.

Use Window > Panes to open the Templates pane.

Shortcut: <Alt>+<F2>

The main functions are available from the context menu:

The procedures for inserting templates into the POU body vary slightly, depending on the programming editor.

The following procedure requires that the Templates pane be opened.

  1. Place cursor in programming window
  2. Double-click the desired template

    The template is inserted at the cursor position.

  3. Complete the template

    Fill the template with values and variables in accordance with the requirements of your program.

    Tip

    All elements recently used are added to a list. Press<Ctrl>+<Shift>+<v> in the programming window to display this list. The contents of the list may vary depending on the programming context.
