Defining macro steps

To associate a macro to a step, change a normal step to a macro step.

  1. Select step
  2. Edit > Modify > Macro step
  3. Use Tools > Zoom into to display the macro structure

An empty macro consists of an entry step, a transition, and an exit step. Any macro must have exactly one entry step.

  4. Program your macro

Assign names, actions, or variables to the macro steps as usual. You may also insert simultaneous sequences.

  5. Use Tools > Zoom back to return to your SFC program
  6. Object > Save
NOTE
  • Use Edit > Modify > Macro step again to convert a macro step back into a normal step.

  • UseEdit > Modify > Exit step to manually define an exit step.
