Use the dedicated software Configurator PM7 to set the positioning control parameters for positioning units used with the following PLC types:
FP7
FP0H (RTEX)
FP-XH M4T/L
FP-XH M8N16T/P (RTEX)
FP-XH M8N30T (RTEX)
For all other types of FP0H and FP-XH, refer to Configurator PMX.
To start the Configurator PM7, a different procedure applies depending on the PLC type.
For FP7, proceed as follows:
Double-click PLC in the navigator.
Double-click I/O map and unit configuration
Select the positioning unit
Refer to "I/O map" if the positioning unit has not been added to the I/O map yet.
Double-click the desired slot number
To allocate I/O addresses, you must select slots consecutively one after the other. Assign the CPU to slot 0.
Under Unit category select Positioning
Under Unit type select a positioning unit and select OK
The starting word number, number of input words and number of output words are automatically entered. You can change the starting word number as required. I/O addresses are allocated based on the starting word number.
Select Advanced
The Configurator PM7 is started.
For FP0H RTEX and FP-XH M4 / M8 types, proceed as follows:
Double-click PLC in the navigator.
Select Positioning table configurator PM7 (RTEX)
The Configurator PM7 is started.
For the FP0H RTEX unit the positioning data is not stored to Control FPWIN Pro7 project file. Configuration settings made in Configurator PM7 have to be uploaded to or downloaded from the PLC with Configurator PM7. The file handling of the configuration files has to be done by Configurator PM7, too.
