How to import CSV files in Unicode (UTF-8) format into Microsoft Excel

CSV files can be imported into Microsoft Excel to display data in tabular Unicode (UTF-8) format.

  1. Open Microsoft Excel.
  2. Select the Data tab.
  3. Select the icon From Text.
  4. Navigate to the location of the CSV file you want to import.
  5. Select the file and then select Import.

    The Text Import Wizard window appears.

  6. Under File Origin, select 65001: Unicode (UTF-8).
  7. Under Delimiter, select Comma.
  8. Select Load to finish importing your CSV data into Microsoft Excel
The data from the CSV file is displayed in a tabular format.
