REST API/HTTP Server page

Use this page to enable or disable the REST API and the HTTP Server of the FP-I4C unit.

REST stands for “REpresentational State Transfer-Application Programming Interface”. In principle, the REST API is an interface that uses HTTP requests (e.g. GET, POST, PUT, DELETE) to read or write data from and to devices (PLCs).

The REST API of the FP-I4C unit supports GET and POST requests. If the request received by the FP-I4C unit is valid, it is forwarded to the service control interface (COM interface to the PLC).

The HTTP server function allows you to upload HTML Web pages to the FP-I4C unit. If you need to upload non-standard manually programmed Web pages, this is an alternative to using HMWIN Studio.

An example of an HTML page and a Vanilla JavaScript using the built-in fetch function can be downloaded at the end of the page.
