Read/Save settings

Use File > Save Setting to save the settings on the EtherNet/IP setting window to a file.

Saved settings can be read with Read Setting as necessary.

Export of device database

Select EDS File > Export Device Database... or right-click the device list
Specify a folder or create a new folder to store the database

NOTE

As registered EDS files, icon files, device database files are output to the selected folder, specify an empty folder if you specify an arbitrary storage destination.

Import of device database

Select EDS File > Import Device Database... or right-click the device list to import an existing device database.

NOTE

Once the import is performed, the registered information of the device list will be overwritten by the contents of the imported device database. We recommend to export and store the registered information before performing the import.
Always save the EtherNet/IP setting before import. After importing database, the EtherNet/IP settings are cleared and cannot be modified afterwards.

Confirm the note that all unsaved EtherNet/IP settings will be cleared or select Cancel
Specify the folder where your database for the import is stored
OK

Backup of registration information

If you need to restore the previous registration information after the completion of import, a backup is stored in the following folder:

For Windows7

C:\Users\(Account name of PC)\AppData\Roaming\Panasonic-ID SUNX Control\EIP\backup
For WindowsXP

C:\Documents and Setting\(Account name of PC)\Application Data\Panasonic-ID SUNX Control\EIP\backup

This folder contains automatically generated backup data before the import was done. If the import operation fails, registration information will not be backed up. When the information has been backed up manually, import your manually created backed-up folder.
