Saving a data recording setting file to SD card

Data recording setting files can be transferred from a PC to a CPU via SD cards. The data recording settings can either be copied to the execution memory RAM/ROM1 or executed directly from the SD card. To create an auto execution file with the data recording settings proceed as follows:

  1. Save the data recording settings file on an SD card with Project > Save as > Project on SD card...

The Save project on SD card dialog box is displayed.

  2. Under Intended use of SD card, select In PLC
  3. Select target folder and Save

An auto execution file with the data recording settings logtrc.fp7 is created.

  4. Create a folder named \AUTO on the SD card
  5. Copy logtrc.fp7 into the folder \AUTO on the SD card
  6. If you want to execute the settings directly from the SD card, also copy the auto-execution file autoexec.fp7 into the folder \AUTO.
The PLC will only detect the auto execution files if they are located in an SD card folder named \AUTO!
