Configure Operation list (Alarms History) and Operation chart (Gantt Chart)

Select and configure one of the two options for recording operation data for display on web pages.

When you first select Operation recording in the navigator, the operation recording editor opens with operation recording configuration 0.

  1. Under Application, select Operation list (Alarms History) or Operation chart (Gantt Chart).
  2. Set the buffer size.

    The buffer size depends on the number of records you want to display on the web page.

  3. Set a name for the CSV file on the SD card.

    The file name is used if you save the record buffer in a CSV file on the SD card by the instruction FP_OPERATION_RECORDING_WRITE_TO_SD. The file name is used if you save the record buffer into a CSV file on the SD card. To save the CSV file, use the instruction FP_OPERATION_RECORDING_WRITE_TO_SD or press the CSV button of the Alarms History or Gantt Chart widget on the web page created with Control Web Creator.

  4. Set the maximum number of files per SD card folder.
  5. Set the start method.

    By default, operation recording is started when the PLC changes to RUN mode. If you deactivate the option Start when changing to RUN mode, operation recording has to be started via the FP instruction FP_OPERATION_RECORDING_START or the Start button in the operation recording editor or the start button of the Alarms History or Gantt Chart widget on the web page created with Control Web Creator. To stop operation recording, use the FP instruction FP_OPERATION_RECORDING_STOP or the Stop button in the operation recording editor or the stop button of the Alarms History or Gantt Chart widget on the web page created with Control Web Creator.

  6. Set the number of languages you want to use.
    By default, only one language is used. If you want to switch the language displayed on the parts on a web page created with Control Web Creator, select 2 languages. You can enter the names of the languages in the text box Language name 1/2 (optional), e.g. "German" or "Japanese". They will appear in the operation recording editor in the column Data name.
  7. For Operation list (Alarms History), set the event names you wish to display for the 3 events TriggeredRecoveredAcknowledged on the parts created with Control Web Creator.
    These names will also appear in the CSV file in the column Event.
  8. Drag & drop variables from the variable pane.
  9. Enter a data name for the language.

    The name entered here appears on the parts on the web page created with Control Web Creator and is stored in the CSV file in the column Message. By default, the name of the variable or address is copied into the column Data name for language 0.

  10. If you have set Number of languages to 2 languages, enter also a data name for the second language.
  11. For Operation list (Alarms History), under Trigger condition, select the event which should trigger the operation recording function:
    • Rising edge

      When the bit changes from FALSE to TRUE, the event name is recorded, e.g. Trig. If the bit is TRUE during power on, the event is not recorded.

    • Rising edge or TRUE during power on

      When the bit changes from FALSE to TRUE or when the bit is TRUE during power on, the event name is recorded, e.g. Trig.

    • Falling edge

      When the bit changes from TRUE to FALSE, the event name is recorded, e.g. Trig. If the bit is FALSE during power on, the event is not recorded.

    • Falling edge or FALSE during power on

      When the bit changes from TRUE to FALSE or when the bit is FALSE during power on, the event name is recorded, e.g. Trig.

    The specified bits are monitored in real time.

    Variables or addresses set to Rising edge or TRUE during power onor Rising edge are displayed in the list of active alarms when they are ON. Variables or addresses set to Falling edge or FALSE during power on or Falling edge, they are displayed in the list of active alarms when they are OFF.
  12. Under Enabled events, select the event or events which should be recorded:
    • Triggered

    • Recovered

    • Acknowledged

    By default, all three events are enabled.
